Ripton, Vermont

Ripton was the home of poet Robert Frost for many years as it is a tranquil setting perfect for writing. Frost was an integral part of establishing the Breadloaf Writer's Conference, still held in Ripton today. In 1953, The Vermont Legislature named Robert Frost Mountain, in the northwestern part of town, in his honor. Located in the Green Mountain National Forest, this town is also home to Breadloaf Mountain, Mount Roosevelt and Mount Wilson.
