Ira, Vermont

The idyllic village of Ira is named for Ira Allen, one of Vermont's Green Mountain Boys. Bordered by West Rutland, Castleton, Poultney and Middletown Springs, Ira is a total of 14,400 acres. The Castleton River and Ira Brook add to the quaint rural setting. Ira is 8 miles from Rutland.
